My name is Brian Walsby. Welcome to my site. I have been a drummer/artist/cartoonist for as long as I can remember (well over a quarter of a century). This website is a way to get some of the work that I have done (art wise) up in one place along with updates on other projects and music related things. I also have some really neat wares to peddle. So..welcome kids!

T SHIRTS

We’re super excited to have gotten the green light from the Dinosaur Jr. camp on this new shirt. When these guys put out their (now classic) second album "You're Living All Over Me" towards the eight of the eighties, they basically set up a musical template that helped define the nineties. Think of how many youngsters played Jazz Masters through numerous pedals at ear splitting volume afterwards? The mind boggles at the thought. This design features head honcho J. Mascis in an obscure but not subtle tribute to a certain character/mascot for a certain early eighties Los Angeles punk band. Deck it out in the traditional Dinosaur Jr. colors of green and purple and you have a wonderful t-shirt that we hope you will enjoy. See you in the pit, motherfuckers!

ACTION PATROL/ BRIAN WALSBY ON PATROL (T SHIRT)                                   SEE DETAIL

It was around 1995 when my friend and former Bifocal Media co-owner Jay Holmes returned home from an out of town show (probably in some kid’s living room) with the first and only Action Patrol LP on Whirled Records. The songs were catchy, fast, quirky, and surprisingly complex. We were quickly drawn to these tunes and it wasn’t long before we realized that just about everyone else who heard or saw this Richmond, VA band was an instant fan. Action Patrol fans ranged from pretentious art punk/ screamo types to pop punk kids. In a live setting, singer David Grant would bounce around wildly; belting out anthemic lyrics that everyone in attendance seemed to know. The rest of the band (including guitarist and AP mastermind Chris Taggart) didn’t really have to move at all. Action Patrol shows were a protest, a party, and a memorable rock and roll experience. Do yourself a favor and look them up on youtube... right after you order this shirt! There’s even an arrow on the sleeve for those of you who remember the AP jumpsuits.
